Password Recovery mails are not sent properly

When the password recovery function is used the template for the email does not work properly.
There is no link to reset the password and for some reason the "FROM:" field is "invalid"

Is it generated at all or is it just a display issue?
When I go to the sitellite panel > admin > site settings the mail settings seem to be configured properly.

The template for the recovery message resides at inc/app/sitemember/html/passrecover/message.spt
