SMTP within sitemailer2 does not work correctly

When I use SMTP to send messages via SiteMailer2 (Enterprise 5 edition) then the message is send to only one recipient, the other recipients stays inside the queue.
Stop/Start via shell access results in sending the message to the next recipient. Switched back to mta_mail --> works fine.
