Content appearing outside Xed in IE7

This bug seems to be IE specific. If I click outside the content area, say on the words Adding Page above the content area, and then click the Xed button to insert a special character or table, then the character or table appears outside and above the content area. See attached image.

    Apparently this is a javascript issue only occuring in IE7/8.

    The call for inserting the table is located at:

    inc/app/xed/js/xed.js:681

    Somewhere in this function, or a child function of this one the table gets inserted into the iframe.
    For some reason IE cannot seem to pick up the right location for the table, thus placing it in the first possible place it can be placed at.

    Further research is needed.
