Allow to specify intervals in scheduler

It would be great to be able to tell scheduler to do a specific task at a specific interval. i.e. to have some tasks executed every 10 minutes, some executed every hour, some executed every day... without having to create a specific cron job for each task, but with that time interval specified somewhere in a config file for the task.
