Names for HTML snippets

Reported by lux | January 4th, 2009 @ 09:19 PM

It would be good to have a name field for HTML snippets (Box Chooser > Utilities > Paste a Snippet). It's hard in the editor to tell what a snippet does since you just see an ID for it in Xed.

    • State changed from “new” to “open”
    • Assigned user changed from “lux” to “Charles Brunet”

Now you can name snippets. But:

    • If you specify an already existing name, it will overwrite the snippet with that name.
    • If the name contains non-ascii chars, it causes problems with xed (utf8 displayed as latin1). I think the bug is related with the javascript that import the box to xed.

    From there:

    • It could be useful to be able to choose from an existing snippet. Maybe a 'browse' button that could autofill the form.
