In order for this to be changed, some core files need to be altered.
Right now, different revisions of most items sitellite handles are stored in the same way.
To display the title of a news item in the back-end, the tables which are storing the deleted items have to be extended with another column.This will take an tremendous effort, since the whole structure of the versioning files have to be changed. And all existing tables have to be updated.
That's why this will be set to the 6.x release milestone. It's a really small cosmetic change, but the impact on the code is really not worth doing it for the 5.x milestones.
