Alias of a page application pref when page isn't at root
Reported by Charles Brunet | November 12th, 2008 @ 02:28 PM
In some applications (news, siteevent), there is a setting to speficy page_alias. The problem is that the user interface doesn't show to the user that if page_alias isn't a root page, you alose must specify page_below property in properties.php to made it work.

Maybe could we design a high level function to replace page_id function, which would automatically find the needed page_below from the database. But since it only apply to global settings of applications, the simplest solution could to to add the page_below property to the settings.ini.php file.

Hmm, it seems to be working fine for me with breadcrumbs at least. What isn't working for you? If I assign the page_alias in the app's settings.ini.php to a sub page in the tree, the breadcrumb shows the correct path for both news and siteevent apps. For siteevent I did have to change the template used from 'wide' to 'default' so it would have a breadcrumb to show.
